General Laborer (On-Demand / Per-Job)

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and reliable General Labourers to join our team on a per-job basis. This role involves a variety of outdoor tasks, primarily including snow removal and lawn care services. Work is assigned based on job availability and may be offered through a shift-claiming system.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform snow removal duties, including shovelling, salting, and clearing walkways and driveways
• Complete lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and general yard maintenance
• Operate basic landscaping and snow removal equipment safely and efficiently
• Travel to job sites as required
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients
• Ensure all assigned work is completed to company standards

Work Structure

• Compensation is usually provided on a per-job basis
• Job opportunities are distributed as fairly as possible among team members
• Some jobs may be offered on a first-come, first-served (shift-claiming) basis
• Work availability may vary depending on season and demand

Requirements

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license (GDL or Non-GDL)
• Reliable access to a vehicle at all times
• Willingness to transport across the Edmonton Metropolitan Area
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Experience

• No prior experience required
• Training will be provided to all successful candidates
